CLINIC IN THE ALPS
Berlin top surgeon Dr. Daniel Guth operates on his brother Till, against regulations, and fails to save his life. Without waiting for the official inquest, he resigns. Daniel visits his mentor, Dr. Ohlendorf, in the Austrian Alps. There Miriam, the widow of Dr. Berghoff, tries to save his private clinic, which is sabotaged by her ex, mayor Bruno Bossert. Daniel approves of her total patient care-concept, but refuses to become the new medical chief. However he enjoys being a substitute father for her preteen son Frederik enough to stay around longer.
