MAKING OF “TRANSFORMATION“ PART1: THE BEGINNING “No, I didn’t really need the film clapperboard in the picture because I realised an AI-generated science fiction film. For many years, I’ve had a growing desire to switch to directing and to complement my work as a film composer. I had already been practising in music videos for the last five years. After winning the Europe Music Award in 2023 for “Fields”, my long-awaited desire to realise an elaborate science fiction film awoke. Even last year when I was writing the script, I knew that under normal situation the film would cost around 100 million, but as a short film it would probably still cost 8 million for actors, filming and CGI technology. So no chance to realise my dream! I had been working with AI technology for a long time and at the beginning of this year I started to realise this epic material. And I didn’t want to make a classic science fiction film with aliens conquering the world, I wanted my message to be something completely different. I also didn’t want to work with classic AI characters (actors), I wanted to tell the story in a completely different way. On a level that you might not have seen before.
